In order to make a proper diagnosis, a physician must rely on signs, symptoms and patient history.
The patient chart is a physician’s life line. Containing a life-time record of the patient’s health, the patient chart is as common in a physician’s day-to-day as a notepad is to a salesperson. The patient chart holds the key information about that patient and is an instrumental tool for doctors to make a proper diagnosis.
As healthcare rapidly approaches the era of Electronic Medical Records, providing a simple and efficient way to access patient history is essential. However, today, many EMRs address the storage and retrieval of patient history very poorly. Often times, the necessary information is stored in restricted formats on the hard-drive, making the process of retrieving the information more cumbersome than pulling it from the top shelf in a storage room and costing the practice both time and money.
Innovative
"I would highly recommend TouchChart for every medical practice."
- Dr. Barth Ragatz, PhD
TouchChart is a revolutionary application—it’s the simplest and fastest way to scan, index and retrieve your charts—period. It integrates with most EMRs, works in any language, and it delivers a quick and efficient way to access specific patient history, anytime, from anywhere.
Opening as an independent application, TouchChart provides reliable, secure and easy access to patient information. TouchChart displays in a familiar chart-like interface and is a perfect fit for any healthcare facility. TouchChart stores both static images such as: X-Rays, CT Scans, and MRIs, as well as Doppler flow images and echocardiograms. These images can be imported from a PACS System. Virtually any computer file can be added and viewed in its native format.
TouchChart comes with 12 customizable main file sections, each with 10 customizable sub-sections, making it easy to convert the current charting structure to digital format.
“It is set up just like our paper charts were. This made learning to retrieve the charts simple for all our doctors and staff."

Quick Find
TouchChart eliminates the hassle of searching for individual patient files by providing the Quick Find feature. All patient files are stored alphabetically and can be accessed by entering the first letter or the patient's last name. Select the desired patient from a list, press "Show Chart" and the patients' file is displayed and ready for review.
Business made easy!
TouchChart makes locating specific documents easy. To locate specific patient information, click on the desired file section or sub-section to display the corresponding file. TouchChart presents the number of documents and pages that are stored in the selected file. Documents are stored in TouchChart just as they appear in a paper chart, with the most recent information displaying first. With a click or a touch, you can digitally sort through the documents until you have located the one you need.
TouchChart makes the scanning process simple. When coupled with the HP Scanjet 7000, it supports one-touch batch scanning and allows you to perform quality control, by displaying each page on your screen as it scans. Smart-Scan software identifies blank pages and marks them for deletion.
TouchChart can be used with most popular scanners and Multi-Function Devices. When used with a bar-coding system, TouchChart creates index labels containing Patient ID and file sections that can be attached to the leading page of the patient's documents. When scanned, TouchChart reads the bar-code and files the document in the correct file and section automatically. It's that simple.
Operating and maintaining a paper-based charting system is usually an unrecognized cost and managing the volume of documentation that your medical practice generates can be a very time consuming and labor-intensive process that eats away at your bottom line.
